As this great year comes to a close, Dan, Monica and Kira have had a great autumn, a Thanksgiving full of friends and family, and, as I write this, we are looking forward to a busy Christmas, and then a week of relaxation in Daytona Beach, Florida. Believe it or not, we are finally taking our Honeymoon trip! Yeah, we aren't the most punctual folks ever.... but better late than never!
Speaking of honeymoons, we had a great time at Matt and Holly's beautiful wedding in upstate Pennsylvania, and Kira danced the night away at the party afterwards. The fall trees were truly in their splendor, and we enjoyed our long rustic weekend away. We are so happy for Matt and Holly - she was a gorgeous bride, and Matt is a lucky guy to have her as his wife!
Only a few short weeks after the wedding, Kira donned her puppy suit and woofed and panted her way through a fun and spirited Halloween! You can see her practicing her downward dog pose in the pics above.
Kira is doing so well -- she is completely fluent in Conversational Jibberish, is trying out new (real) words all the time, has a mouthful of choppers, loves to dance and sing, and adores playing with the 1970's vintage Little People we have collected. Our big girl will be getting some company soon -- we are due to have our second child in June of 2009! We don't know yet if it's a girl or a boy, but we are sure that Kira will be a terrific big sister. We'll keep you posted with any news about our new addition!
