Our little family just got a lot bigger! Laney Frances Hecht was born on June 7, at 11:02 pm. We had a wonderful birth with her... when she decided to arrive, she did it so quickly we came close to having her in the car! Thanks to Dan's driving skills, and Monica's ability to not push, we had her at The Birth Center in Bryn Mawr about 25 minutes after we arrived. It was a beautiful and loving birth, and Kira got to meet her sister only minutes after her arrival.
It's been an adustment for all of us, going from a family of 3 to 4, but we are handling it well. Kira continues to be a joyful girl, full of love for her sister, whom she showers with gentle kisses. Laney is a delight - sweet baby breath and sweaty palms, and tiny feet that rest sole to sole. We are all so happy, and so thankful for the wishes and hopes and good energy sent to us from friends and family. Monica and Dan are playing tag with sleep and patience, but so far so good. It's been a great summer so far, and it will only get better!
