Welcome to Kira's homepage! Kira Janelle Hecht entered the world on July 1st, 2007 at 5:03 in the morning. She weighed 7 pounds and one ounce, and measured nearly 20 inches long. She is home with her mommy and daddy, and is doing great! Dan and Monica (aka Momica) are overjoyed to have such a light in their life, and thank friends and family for all their well wishes and support.
Please feel free to post your thoughts, advice, and shout-outs to this blog spot -- we'll be keeping it up to date with pictures and updates in the months and years to come. What a great way to stay in touch : )
Kira is a week old today -- she seems to look more and more like herself with every passing hour. We went on our first walk today around the neighborhood -- a beautiful day to see the world! So far, Kira seems to be a grade-A sleeper ... she loves to snooze! (So does Momica). She's also a world-class snuggler. We've been enjoying every moment with her.

Hey Momica and Daddy Dan,
Congratulations on the arrival of Kira. Your new life begins. Chickie and I are so happy for you. You now have a very important role in a little person's life. Remember, even when you're cranky, that you are ALWAYS, every minute of the day and night, your sweet child's role model. Teach her well. Be her life guide. Keep snuggling and as Chickie would say...
